About.

INSPIRED BY DIFFERENCE.

As an author of several genres, Kathryn embraces variety and challenge, combining her unique skill set to yield stories that compel and intrigue readers as well as engender sympathy and passion for her characters.

After finishing her education at California State University Northridge, appearing as Kathyrn Greer, she began a brief, story-inspiring career as an actor. She appeared in several commercials including Pepsi, and “also starring” in an ABC After School Special. As her desire to tell stories became more cemented she turned her imagination to writing.

Eclectic interests inspire her work, including achieving the rank of black belt in Tang Soo Do and lower belts in Krav Maga and Jiu-jitsu. With a brief stint at triathlons, followed by half marathons and mud runs, Kathryn still tries to keep physically active. In her spare time, she can easily be found riding one of her three horses, chasing one of her six dogs, competing in three-day eventing, training her riding students or volunteering as a 4-H horse leader.

Kathryn lives in Agoura Hills with longtime husband Steve, their dogs and horses. Her self-proclaimed great kids; Danny and Lauren live close by.

Her novel, The Weight of it All, is available to order from most major booksellers. Please visit Kathryn online at rishoffwrites.com to find out more about her other stories.
